Does the 14th amendment make hate crime laws unconstitutional?

    And does it grant gays the right to marry under equal rights?

    "Hate crime" is a very broad category. I don't see that there would be a problem with a sentencing enhancement for something under that umbrella; we do the same when a homicide is committed during a rape, for instance. As a crime on its own, where no other harm was done...I think there's a problem there.

    Anyone has the right to marry any person of the opposite sex that they choose. Completely equal right to do so.

    "Hate crime" is another stupid layer of Band-Aid legislation foisted on its citizens by statists.
