Does Remington make an 870 with a PG?

    That kind of says it. Just wondering if there is a standard 4 shot model which could be shortened as an AOW. Just curious.

    Wouldn't it just be cheaper/easier to buy a 870 AOW so you would just have to pay the $5 tax stamp vs. the $200 tax stamp to convert it yourself?

    That's why I'm asking. If it comes with a pistol grip, one can convert it for the $5 AOW fee. If it comes with a shoulder stock you have to pay the higher fee.

    I believe you are mistaken. It would be a $200 tax stamp for you to convert a PG shotgun to a AOW. The $5 tax stamp applies if the shotgun is already a AOW.

    You better check with BATFE and make sure you get the facts straight before making a costly mistake.
