So I'm browsing guns the other day, and I see them have a glock 19 posted up for 729$:rofl:

I couldn't help but wonder, someone is obviously buying these if they're posted at that, or I'm assuming they are, and these have been posted at that price for a while. I lol'd, anyone seen a more redonkulous price on a glock at a gunshop ( stock glock, none of that ninja stuff) ?

They have always been outrageous with their pricing.

I forever quit looking at Gander for firearm purchases when I saw that the prices of their used guns were significantly higher than what my LGS sells the same gun for new. Their ammo prices were an eye opener also.

  4. Their come on prices that lure you into a world of debt if you purchas one of their guns, who prices these anyway ?Un less thats the Obamacare tax thats built into price ! Vote Romney 2012 !

I bought a 1911 from them once because I got $100 off the price from their main office. The local Gander Mountain assistant manager over the gun department did not want to honor the price because $100 off was a lot for this type of gun. I called the main office to complain and then called the local store head manager and she said they would honor the price. That was the first and last gun I bought from Gander. The only reason I bought in the first place was the fact that I could get the 1911 I wanted at a reasonable price after the $100 discount.

They are a high price gun store unlike Academy where you can get a basic type gun and a very good price.

I've bought a few guns from Gander Mtn. over the years, you can find a bargain there once in a while. (A great while)
Overall, their prices are stunningly high.
In the last year, one Gander near me had a Swiss K31, nothing special, actually pretty beat, with an $899 price tag.:wow:
Another doozy was a Springfield 1903 rifle, Greek return, beat to death, sewer pipe bore, are you ready? $2795!!!!!
I nearly choked, and even the guy behind the counter had to roll his eyes.

Back in the early 2000s I bought some screaming great deals at the Gander in Spring, Texas. Both new and used they had really good prices. Not sure what changed but a couple years latter they were crazy over priced.

  10. Yea, they're pretty fond of their stuff and hate to see it leave the store apparently.

Here's the only "deal" to ever come from Gander Mountain. A 6" high polished nickel Python, that now resides in my safe.

I was in the Brookfield, Wisconsin area a few years ago when I noticed a Gander Mountain near my hotel. Figured I would take a look since there are none back home. When I saw the gun prices I just about swallowed my tongue. After seeing those prices I left figuring that the whole place must be some sort of rip-off operation.

They price match. Has to be local and in stock but they will do it.

But I had friends that used to work there for discounts and such. They told me years ago they were bad. Now it's a thousand times worse. Every time I go in there which isn't much there are different people there and the people are worse than before.

    They are going down fast.

I don't know how they make it, I never see very many shoppers in their stores.

They're usually pretty high. But last week they quoted me $600 for a Marlin 1894c and $700 in stainless which is competitive with prices on gunbroker

I've seen some rifles, like the PS90 and MSAR listed for $1k over what you can buy them anywhere else...

I rarely go in GM since their regular prices seem to be about as bad as Cabela's, except for the past two years on Black Friday they've had some unbeatable ammo deals.

    Very nice :)

I picked up a 99% BHP, glossy blue as can be imagined, adjustable sights, walnut grips for $499 at Gander, a Steyr M1 (first time they imported them) for $299 and a few other things I felt great about. Now even their ammo is over priced. :(
