Do your ground forces get alot of air support?

    I am not in the services so I have no clue, I only go by what I see on tv of course. But do the ground forces in Iraq get alot of air support, I assume that if they did it would cut down on so many of our soilders getting hurt. Or is it that in their particular situation (layout of the land) they cannot use as much air support. Again I am not in the services nor have I ever been its just a question, I may be wrong. Thanks in advance for your responses.
