I wanna buy an Ar15 but I hear they jam alot unless u clean it twice daily. I also hear .223 isnt good enough for deer hunting or self defense. Is this true?

No but, if you buy the cheapest AR on the wall along with the cheapest mags and cheapest ammo then you will see more problems than the guys that buy professional grade ARs. I wouldn't use a 5.56 for hunting deer but they have been killing humans for 50 years so the SD will not be an issue. Keep the carrier and bolt oiled.
These are decent rifles imo, least expensive to more, I would stay clear of less expensive brands.

What are the best ammo brands and mags?

Btw I try to find colts, but they're so rare!

Magpul and HK mags are the best IMO, some GI mags with magpul followers run fine too.
M193 is 55gr fmj, sometimes called XM193 it is a full power load.
Winchester White box works well, Hornady Tap also.
I will not use Rem UMC or Federal Eagle, there are too many brands of surplus and Russian made to get into it to far but if you question the quality try a few boxes before you purchase 1000 rounds of the stuff.
You can buy new Colts anywhere, used on the shelf maybe not.
