    $769-$699=$70 not $170

You can't go wrong with either one.

I have both guns. I have handled several of each gun from both companies.
Palmetto makes a very nice weapon. The Spikes is just slightly better finished and a bit smoother hand cycling. Either is more than fine and a great choice compared to any other commercial assembly.

Is the spikes worth the extra $$$? Spikes has a lifetime warranty but do I need it as I'm gonna use it for plinking at the range and maybe a home defense class?

Either is fine but I would go with PSA but that is just for a personal distaste for Spikes. To be fair it appears the Spikes comes with an MBUS and that will account for almost all the price difference.

go to their website and order.
it will ask what ffl you will be using in your comments.
after ordering, fax or email in your ffl's info.

wait about two weeks, and your ffl will have it.

I've heard good things about psa uppers and rifles. I've ordered things from them, good company, but not any of their firearms. Used a LPK and everything was high quality.

My spikes upper is top notch and has had zero issues. Since I have a spikes I recommend them.

There are also slight differences in the finish. If it matters, Spikes is a satin or semi gloss and palmetto is a matte finish.

Pick the roll mark you like better and be happy.
