I was on my way to the range and stopped in at Dicks Sporting Guns just off of the Fairfax County Parkway (Fairfax, VA). I am not sure if the sale in going on at other Dicks Sporting Goods stores in VA.

They are having an ammo sale on handgun ammo. I picked up boxes of 50 round Remmington Express 40SW for $13.00. They had other brand and calibers on sale too.

13 dollars for 50. Winchester White Box is 19.99 for 100 rounds at Wal-Mart, and 50 rounds of Blazer Brass is 9.27 in 40. Was any other 40 cheaper than 13 dollars?

Nope. $13 for 50 was the best for 40SW. There was some 9mm for less but I think the sale is over.

Thanks Longwatch. You saved me a trip. I noted the sale had disappeared from the web site, but I thought I was just not using the correct search words.

As of today, the ammo is still on sale but the case price just went up a buck to 7.98 per box. So now it's about $84 out the door. Used to be $63 out the door 6 mos ago!

On the other hand, you still can't beat it!

I don't know why, but 9mm UMC case price is at 7.98 a box for 10 or more boxes.

Interesting they raised the price of 9mm by the case but kept .45 at the lower price ($25.96 per 100) which is still less expensive than Walmart($26.97 per 100), although it is Remington UMC vs. Winchester White Box. Dicks by the case, Walmart by the box.

Please excuse my intrusion into your state forum, I would like to pass some info on that I received. I got a e-mail from www.natchezss.com that stated beginning April 15th CCI and Federal would be raising their ammo prices again. This is proof. Our days of $3.97 a box of 9mm Blazer are loooooong gone!

yes, but our issue has been that Dick's raised it a dollar a box in one week--although we were all trying to take advantage of the sale and some of us just were too slow!

I picked up 10 boxes of 9mm for %6.98 per box 2 weeks ago. Slightly cheaper than Wally World WWB. However, for .40S&W, Wally World is still tops.
