Well, it's time for a new knife once again. Choices this time are a Spyderco Delica 4 with black FRN handle and plain edge or a Benchmade Mini Griptillian and either OD handle and black tanto blade or black handle and regular tanto blade.

Which would you choose and why?

I have both and like the Gripitillion with the black handle, regular blade. It feels better.

Mini Grip---the AXIS lock simply BLOWS AWAY ANYTHING else.

These knives are both great, and although the axis lock is about the best thing out there, I gotta go with the Spyderco.

I have had both and just prefer the Delica. For being so similar on paper, they feel totally different in the hand. The Delica has longer handle, and is narrower so it just carries a little better.

Spyderco is coming out with a new model incorporating a "bolt" lock, there version of the axis.

I have a Mini Grip and IMO it is too small. It feels like the knife wants to fly out of my hand when opening the blade. Again, that's my opinion. Reviewing the specs, it appears the closed length of the Mini Grip is a bit smaller than the Delica 4. Based on that I recommend the longer of the two - the Delica 4. Good luck!

I think I'm gonna go with the Delica. Held them both and the Delica felt better to me. Thanks for the input guys!

Mini Grip all the way. I carry one about 60% of the time and have no complaints, it's a lot of knife for the money. Think I paid $62 shipped off of Amazon.

Do you know when the new lock will be released?
