huge torque, no revs, and I think diesel weighs more than gas? It will be interesting to see how it does on track; if nothing else, props to audi for trying something different
  4. Cummins has had the technology to put quiet, low emission diesel engines in everyday autos. 1/3 increase in power and economy; maybe diesels are too reliable for the auto manufacturers, who would also have to beef up the rest of the driveline.

It was a Dodge Cummins p/u that finished third in its class at Baja, they also ran the race with their air conditioning on. :)

last thing oil companies want is higher efficiency cars on the road. The Government is happy to oblige them by putting rediculous emissions standards into place which essentially stop diesel cars in the US.

Can't wait to see what legislation will stop biodiesel from coming to fruition.

I got my doors blown off the other day by a wagon VW. It was white and hissed like a viper. It was SO boosted. When I caught up to him we shot the BS and I find out its a deisel turbo on get this...BIO Deisel. I was in shock. We laughed it up, but for what he spends in fuel...and it runs like a rocket? Makes me want one. Almost.
