Defending Against Body Armor

    The Free Zone
    This Batman thingy has us all twitching.
    I've considered defending myself against a heavily armed,
    and armored, assailant before.
    My thoughts have been;
    1) Even with body armor,
    someone is likely to go down at least temporarily taking small arms fire.
    2) Aiming for the pelvis might be a fine idea.

    Do you have any specific ideas about this scenario that might help save lives?

    I don't have enough info yet for full discussion, and the short answer format of GATE isn't the right place for that complicated a discussion anyway. Fortunately, there are longer threads elsewhere in Glock Talk that already make some excellent points on this incident.
