deer sheds

    I said I'd post pictures of these deer antlers. A friend of mine hunts sheds as a hobby - fun and exercise. He found this last spring. He has the previous year's set from (we believe) the same buck. They are virtually identical but about 95% the size of these.
    he (friend) has boxes of big antlers. He's also shot some monsters near his home.


    That's my nephew in the picture. He's about 6'2". The beams make his hands look small.

    This buck is still running around northern Wisconsin - as far as we know.

    Edited: The picture I included was too small to see. So, I deleted it and was going to enter a larger one. But, 'edit' would not allow me to do an 'include'. I'll post the picture in a 'reply' to this post.

    Bow season here in no. wis. starts in about 8 hours. After seeing those antlers, I know for sure I won't sleep much tonight. ;)

    Pete: Those are dandies - but they're mulies, Not white tails. Different critter.
