True. And of the % that will actually pay, only a very few will really pay.

The only bright spot is that they will inflate the debt away which will pretty much hit everyone.

I'd be happy to go ahead and pay my $73,000 now and go ahead and be left alone moving forward. Any chance of that?

We should have been paying for our expenses as we went along. Too bad that the politicians were too scared to tax.

Defund Obamacare. End this three year unemployment benefit splurge. Eliminate Social Security Fraud, and force those who are fraudulently using those funds to repay them or face 1 year in prison for every 1k defrauded. Stop all foreign aid, all of it. If we have to bribe the world, then we don't need them. Close unecessary bases, withdraw all the troops from the Middle East. Defund as much of the "porkulous" spending sprees by Congress and the Obama administration that can be readily refunded back into the treasury.

Debt ceiling solved, insolvency solved, unfunded mandates solved, problem solved.

Odd how folks think the government HAS to operate differently than a household. If you can't afford it, you don't buy amazing it's mind-boggling....

And firing 90% of ALL government employees would make a great a start to fixing the problem.

What frys me is that it's savers who will be screwed in the end. $20 trillion will never be "paid back" in the traditional sense. Our currency will be devalued and inflation will soar. It will be cheaper to wipe your butt with 5s and 10s because it'll be less than the money it will take to buy a roll of toilet paper.

We don't have a taxing problem in this country. We have a spending problem.
  15. And when a Republican takes office he will be blamed for the excessive amounts owed. You hear nothing from the liberal media now, but the minute a Republican is in power all hell will break loose
