I have got 2 pair of danner boots, hiking and working.

Both pair came with these white things that fit in the back of the boot by the heel.

What the heck are those for?

They are heel/arch supports for your feet. They work really well, for me anyway. The first time I saw them I wondered the same thing, and thought they would be uncomfortable. They are actually very comfortable.

  3. yup...they don't seem to wear out and I've collected several sets over the years...I use them in other shoes as well...

I can't use them in my Danners. I have low arches. I just sent back a pair of Acadias to the refurbishing factory. We'll see how they do!!

I have a couple sets lying around somewhere, never tried them but I've been thinking I should at least give them a shot.

I've never used them, my feet are damn near flat. I've got two pair of Danners, best boots ever.
