    Thanks

My gunsmith milled the right side of the ambi safety to help prevent it from snagging or getting pushed off safety. I didn't realize the benefit of an ambi until an IDPA stage called for weak hand only shooting.

The X-Grip provides a pinkie rest when I carry with an extended cap mag. And in the Adams pancake it doesn't print, so the extra capacity might come in handy.

Very nice, indeed. I love the CCO size for carry.

There was a thread either on here or the IDPA fourm about using your middle joint on your trigger finger to flick off the thumb safety if you don't have an ambi. It's a neat trick to have in the bag.

Or you can use your thumb to go over to the other side and flick the safety lever.

Yep, both of those techniques can be learned.

By now I've just learned to thumb it down with my left hand.

That's beautiful. I'm guessing Colt doesn't make those anymore. Shame, I would love to have one. Guess ill have to settle for a DW instead.

    Yes, they only made them in 1998 and 1999. Mine's a '98.
