I'm considering buying a CZ because I have only heard positive comments about them. But which CZ?

I really shoot my G19 best of all Glocks, and I shoot at targets at 5, 10, 15, 20 and 25 yards at speed.

I appreciate any advice you may offer.

The "Classic" -- the full-sized 75B in 9mm. (You can always get the other models later!)

I have the CZ75 P01. It's favors extremely well to the G19 in my experience. It's proven to be every bit as reliable as the Glock for me, which is 100% for both. It has a nice smooth single action trigger pull. Downsides for me are the very short slide in height (can't get good grip on it) and the factory sights.

The Cz SP-01 i have is all steel with n/s ...it is heavy and shooting +9+ like
no other 9 i have but the CZ' are unique in many ways. The slide fits into the
frame which i really like. But once you try a CZ you will understand..its not
the average handgun..i still i have my first one since 1997...I'm sure you have
done some research.on them..i have bought some from budsgunshop.com
    good luck, David

It will not be for carry, just range use.

I suggest the CZ 85 Combat. It is the basic CZ 75 modified for range use with an adjustable rear sight, ambidexterous safety and no firing pin block for a better trigger pull. My 85C is the most reliable pistol I own and is also very accurate. An action job and new hammer by Angus Hobdell of the CZ shooting team made it a very delightful gun for range and competition use.

I just grabbed my first CZ Danny, a SP01 Phantom. I absolutely cannot get over how comfortable and slim the grip is. I got it today and have not shot it. I'll report back after puttin' her thru the paces. FWIW, I've heard the DA pull is pretty bad, but mine is very smooth, tons better than the wife's Smith 442.

If you want to spend a little money, go for the Tactical Sport.

    Awesome pistol for the range.

I want one of those so bad... Have you had luck finding holsters for it? I've heard the regular SP-01 holsters do not work. Do the mags drop free?

I have a CZ 75 BD, and am extremely happy with it. To heavy to carry.. if it was lighter, no ifs ands or maybe's, I'd be carrying it.

If you would... Keep me posted on anything you find. Buds Gun Shop is running a sick deal on those pistols. Even after shipping and FFL fees, I come out ahead of my local guy + tax.

My P-01 with Hi Viz sights. It also has had a trigger job which gave it an 8# pull in double action and 3# in single. No creep in the pull and smooth and crisp as can be. I use it for IDPA with an Alabama holster originally made for a P-07. A little adjustment to the tension screw and it fit perfectly. For carry I use an HBE Holsters OS Pro IWB made specifically for the P-01. My brother has Meprolight model 17775 night sights on his P-01 and they are great. He carries his in an UGB holster-Bonneville model. It's not on the gun list but the owner Nate has access to a P-01 that he can use to make a holster for you, just e-mail him. Both mine and my brother's P-01s are extremely accurate .

CZ-75b, its my second best range gun. The best groups i've ever shot were from my 75b.

I am certain that if you like the G19 you will like the CZ P01. I love mine and it is bone stock. When I first got it I put the snap caps in it and worked the trigger a few hundred times and it smoothed our nicely. Everyone I let shoot it loves the way the grip melts into their hands and the way it points and shoots. I would like to get an SP01 one of these days. Been in love with them since they first came out. I also would like a CZ 97B. I have even given thought to giving up my beloved Kimber 1911 to get one . . . .

If just a range gun I would highly recomend a CZ 75B SA(Single action). Has a nicer frame with a better beavertail than the standard CZ 75B. This website has tons of info too: www.czforum.com

    +1 go with the 75 sa. I have a pre-b, SA, PCR, and a PO-1. I have had a 75 ss, 75 satin nickle, SP-01,75 compact, and a PO-6. The SA is my favorite.
