Yeah, I guess that's ok, but it looked perfectly fine as it was.

And it shot just fine!
I got in the 1911 ether and got "project fever".
But, don't worry. It gets shot often and shot a lot.
It shot just fine without a trigger, grip safety, magazine, or controls? Daaayum. They don't build 'em like that anymore.

Someone suggested stainless hex grip screws, so I tried a set from Ed Brown.
