    Naw, I made it up...:faint:

There are others going back to 2009. Google is a good resource.

    Hmm, here's a Senator's wife using influence...maybe?

Relax, boss. You made an inference and I asked if there was anything to back it up. I don't have time to google every claim made on this site so sometimes I have to ask politely.

ETA: Thank you for the link.

St. Francis (a local hospital) is laying off 800 people.

They are blaming it in part on Obama care. It isn't like there is a shortage of sick people.

    Regards,
    Happyguy :)

  6. That's definitely a conflict of interest as well. This goes to the heart of what's wrong with out country. It's not a democracy, it's not a representative government and it's not a republic. While people are screeching about socialism, we've been sliding towards fascism.

I don't think muscogee thought this whole thing out before he posted. His alleged conflict would apply to every congressman and government official in America. Therefore, it is silly.

Anybody dumb enough to think that that is just speculation is definitely the Democrats' target audience.

  14. Why is it a conflict of interest for Goldman Sachs, which gets government subsidies, to have it's own U.S. Senator? It should be obvious.

  15. You don't see that as a problem? IMO, it's the main problem with this country.

    Speaking of conflict of interest:

NO BID CONTRACT: Michelle Obama’s Princeton classmate is executive at company that built Obamacare website

Looking forward to hear you lashing at the Obamas for this sweetheart deal.
Not going to hold my breath though.
    :whistling:

P.S. Almost forgot: same company responsible for the Obamacare website fiasco and run by Michelle's former classmate was also put in charge of distributing $1.7 billion for hurricane Sandy relief. For a hefty commission of course.

    I'm sure it's just a coincidence, isn't it Muscogee?

    He was just asking politely...

My suggestion that a Google search would provide more information, rather my implied suggestion, was not received well.

He caught me at the moment where while he didn't "have time to google every claim made on this site," I just didn't feel like going back and finding the articles I'd read about the Federal grants awarded the University Hospital after Obama took office. I was all out of "JUSTIFY YOUR CLAIM" energy.

Well, when you have to do it for the same people on the same topics over and over, it gets exhausting.

  19. Already addressed that.

Are you advocating that no person who has ever worked for, or whose spouse has ever worked for or works for any company or organization that has received, benefits from, or that might benefit from any vote in the House or Senate from running for Representative or Senator? What about someone whose State or District has, does or might benefit from an executive order or veto by the President of either/any party in such a way that the benefit is then passed on to any business or organization with which they worked or held an affiliation during their life?

Should all those people be banned from national political office?

Is it wrong to work for funding for projects, for businesses, for groups in the State or Commonwealth you represent?

You have yet to answer where the conflict of interest lies either with Mrs. Cruz being employed by Goldman Sachs, or with Mrs. Obama having been employed by the University of Chicago Hospital.

How many medical facilities applied for the grants that Mrs. Obama's former employer received?
