Please post your stories & photos here.

I'll start by telling of our great adventure.

    Day One:

We left Roanoke on Thursday morning. After checking in at The Hampton Inn, we drove to Social Circle, GA for a fantastic meal at The Blue Willow Inn. This place is a must if you are ever in the area. Thanks, Simon, for the hot tip.

    Day Two:

Ron & I received a 2.5 hour VIP Tour of Glock. I don't know how much I am allowed to reveal, but I'll find out tomorrow. Right now I'll say that it blew my mind. While there, we also met Gunny. We did see the 100 yard indoor "BLEEP" range, and got to shoot a G28. We did met the entire GSSF and Training Staff as well as VP Gary Fletcher.

After luch we visited Ed's Public Safety, where Gunny was signing autographs. The line stretched around the inside of the building, and the wait to meet Gunny was about 1 hour. Ed ha the nicest gun shop I've ever visited, and Ed & Don will be set up at the match with great deals this weekend.

In about 4 hours we will be meeting fellow GSSF'ers for BBQ. Part 3 to follow on Saturday night or Sunday morning.

They're expanding the range, next year it should be a great place for a 1000 shooter match, parking may become an issue. My shooting sucked on the plates. Tried my 500$ glasses again and can really see good with them, down side is I was looking at the target more that the sights since I usually can't see the targets. Tried with and without on the plates and sucked, mostly with the perscription glasses. I think if I can adapt I can shoot better with them. Glad I shot today and beat the other 999 shooters. I'll be in Bay 6 tomorrow, stop by and say hello.

NICE. I am trying to shame a couple of other shooters into shooting my 30sf in the submajor.

That offer stands for anyone that brings their own ammo and registration fees.

    Day Three:

    Gunny Challange 2011:
    1. Butch Barton
    2. Bryan Dover
    3. Dennis Kirchhoff
    4. David Knight

In the Gunny & Travis Tritt match, Gunny won, 5 to 0.

Latest entry number was 939. Wow!!

I shot lousy again but had a great time seeing old friends. Last night's dinner included Pat & Bob Temple, Don, Bob, Ron, Rodney, Simon & Linda, Mark & Teresa, Miss Kitty, Butch & family, and another couple new to GSSF.

At the match I got to see Vickie Berens of Glock plus Glenn, Jerry and a host of others. Ed's was set up with great deals for us GSSF members. New Mags @ $20.00 each, ammo, shirts, knives, etc..

Weather was great, sunny and slightly on the hot side. Playing some of the side games of chance I won a flashlight, neck lanyard and a Glock field knife, with which I proceeded to cut my finger.

The RO's were fantastic, every one of them. It was so smooth you had no idea it was the biggest match in GSSF history.

I'll post photos when I get back home.
