They broke one of my cardinal rules... no handling of firearms while drinking. Some here may disagree with that rule but it's mine and I enforce it.

Yeah, but they were closely supervised by the "safety guy" and while they were drinking they didn't appear to be hammered.

A little secret overlooked by the safety nazis, if you're safe with guns sober you're likely going to be safe with guns after a little, not a lot, of drinking.

I don't advocate or practice drinking while shooting but done in moderation it's not that dangerous.

Forty years ago I did drink and shoot. We had all been shooting most of our lives and drinking a few beers on the dock and shooting the empty bottles after chucking them in the river was good sport and hurt no one. We were all still very aware of the dangers of guns and handled them safely, apart from the drinking part of course.

Conan is still a "girlie man" pretending to be a comedian.

Like Franken pretending to be a Congressman.

If you can't shoot guns while you drink, then they are just paper weights.

That is hilarious. Yes, gun and booze are a bad mix.

I've drank a few beers and shot once or twice before. Not a big deal if you're safe.

Being completely hammered? No. Slightly buzzed? Sure.

Yes, you shouldn't be drinking and handling a firearm. What happens if you're drinking at home and the home invasion takes place? :dunno: Maybe you should offer attackers a highball.

I have never had a drink at the range...that said..Id have no problem having 1 beer(only 1 not one and a few more) but I dont plan on it as we save those for after :) .

And im NOT saying slightly buzzed is even ok..but ONE beer does not buzz me at all...for others their mileage may vary lol
