My computer constantly stops working anywhere from 5 to 45 seconds at a time. It just freezes up and then works fine until the next time. This happens intermitently with no constant time between incidents. It is driving me crazy as I can find no rhyme or reason for it. Any ideas?

    Thank you

  2. You might want to run Scan Disk and the other maintainance utilities in Windows. And make sure your hard drive isn't too full.

I have had this happen to one of mine twice and some of my users several times. In most cases the drive was failing.

Same thing happened to me not long ago. Know what you mean by driving you crazy. Mine would do the same thing only sometimes mine would run for hours. Ended up being the mother board.
