Not much different from what goes on in AZ. You get used to it.

I say, let them govern themselves.... Remove all of their people's citizenship, cut off all federal funding, build a fence around their land, and require a passport to legally enter American soil.

    Solved.

    Bawahahaha!

We can't even keep (or kick) mexicans out of this country.

Now you want to mess with the indians?
Rule number one: don't **** with the indians.

That is the way it is done in many tribes.

As far as removing their citizenship, etc. - they were without U.S. citizenship until 1924. In WW2, they proved their allegiance to and proved their worth to this nation by using their native language as an unbreakable code in the Pacific theatre. They saved countless Army soldiers, Marines, and Navy Corpsmen lives.

Blame many U.S. Presidents who refused to integrate them into American culture and Congresses who treated them as ignorant savages who couldn't do anything for themselves, so the 'Great White Father' had to take care of them. What happened to the Natives 100 years ago is what will happen to all American citizens soon enough.

    Casinos.

Besides you don't really want to deal with half the &*(^(^ that goes on, on "The Res"

The Reservation doesn't protect the Indians from the "White Folk" ,quite the other way around.

If they want it so badly... let them be on their own. Casinos are great business but what else do they got?

I get such a kick out of hearing the Native American leaders talking about honoring "mother earth". Here in Arizona reservations are everywhere, and they are the biggest junkyards in the state. As far as I'm concerned give them complete sovereinty and take away all government freebies.

I don't gamble anyway. I don't even play the lottery. It's just not my thing, so I couldn't care less about casinos.

I don't have to deal with this kind of stuff anyway, so my opinion is moot. However, my point is that if they want to be on their own, let them be on their own.

I even vote we give them a whole state... Oklahoma works for me. Hook 'em! :whistling:

This^ I have the largest rez in the nation in my area. I always get a kick out of people defending the reservations because they listen to there social studies teacher about how bad the white man is. They have a astronomical alcohol, drug, homicide, sex assault, etc rate. We have done nothing but try and help them and they fail miserably.

Drive east from Scottsdale, AZ or worse yet take the highway from Gallup, NM past Shiprock towards Cortez, CO. Every place is full of junk cars, old washing machines, and mounds of trash. Not to mention the solid carpet of broken beer bottles on the shoulders of the road since they don't sell alcohol on the rez. So they drive many miles into Gallup or Cortez, buy their beer, and drink it all the way home. Scary highway!
