[IMG] New Combat Elite. Came back from the range, cleaned it and when I put it back together I noticed it wasn't as flush as I think it was the last time I shot it. It has 250 rounds through it so far with 0 malfunctions. I am also new to the 1911. Is this normal?

Very normal on lower $ pistols. For what Colt's cost, they should blend it but they don't. No need to worry.

My CE isn't like that and none of the other's I've handled are either. Are you the same guy that posted this on 1911 forum? If so, send a pm to BJT72 over there, he's a Colt rep and will take care of you.

It doesn't surprise me with Colt, to be honest.

I'm pretty sure it had a better fit until the last 100 rounds. Could it have just loosened up a bit? It won't really bother me as long as it functions.

If it's loosing up in 250 rounds, something is wrong. I've never seen a pistol loosen up in a horizontal fashion (as in front to back).

I'm sure you probably didn't notice it before hand and now have been paying attention. I've done the same on things before. Not need to worry, just shoot it.
