I got a colt custom in polished stainless steel took it to the range today and was shooting to the left noticed the rear sight is not centered on the slide and is to the left, How would I get it centered?

Is it in a dovetail? If so you will need to drift it in the dovetail with a drift pin. If this is a new gun I would expect Colt to do this on their dime.

For a few dollars, I'd let a gunsmith index the sights.
