Now why would any rational person believe that this measure would pass?

Even with the Recall elections, the Dems still have the House, Senate, and Governors Mansion!

Some people are simple minded, I guess.

  3. Exactly! That's why the 2014 elections are critical here in CO. We have a real chance to turn things around here if we're smart about it. The Republican 2010 gubernatorial campaign was a joke and a disaster that enabled Hickenlooper to waltz into the Governor's office. His election allowed all the ridiculous bills to be signed into law. Let's hope we're smarter this time around!

With our caucus system in Colorado, many races are won at the various assemblies and the vote just confirms those results. It's very easy to become a precinct committee chairman. Most of the races in El Paso county are decided before the elections!

“I know this is not going to end all the gun violence, but we have to start somewhere,” said Democratic state Rep. Jeanne Labuda. “If we’re the ninth state or the tenth state to do this, it might take a while, but maybe in another 10 years, all 50 states will have some kind of magazine limit, and that’s when the true results will be seen.”

    Results of this law:

Considerably more magazines of limited capacity sold.

This is nothing more then ammunition for the neutered Colorado GOP to use in the next election, if they are smart they will introduce these bills once a quarter until the election to keep it fresh in the minds of voters, that way when we do take this state back we can reverse these horrible laws AND put an end to this BS by constitutional amendment.

This is going to be a broken record over the next year, I am sure of it, they know these bills will not pass but they also know that voters become complacent, this strategy is very good in my opinion.

Or I could be wrong and its time to move next year LOL....

These states can't even get their stories straight. Yesterday a state quoted that there would be "blood running in the streets" if the residents didn't register their guns. Now this state says they want to limit magazine limit and it's all in the name of ending gun violence. What it really means is that they don't want you to be able to defend yourself when the government does a physical and violent take over; and the gestapo will rule the streets.
