    Isn't this an old story? I thought they had been gone for awhile.

    If not, I sure would love to pick up some 9mm on sale if they have it.

    You know, you could be correct. The article has this week's tag at the top, but a date in 2006.

    I was not sure, but wanted to post in case it was recent.

    Sounds like it was somewhat mutual. The City wanted the land, and knew they could make some serious cash off it (legitimately or otherwise). Probably more of a cash thing than anything else. There are lots of other gun stores in Old Town and the surplus store relocated there.

    As for the owners? Staring at retirement and someone offers him $2.8M to help him along? I doubt he had too much heartburn over that decision.
