Cleaning VZ grips

    I just got a pair of desert blonde canvas gatorbacks and online it says you can clean them with dish soap to return them to their original color. Has anyone done this? How well does it work? Do you really have to scrub them? Thanks for any input.

    I have the same colored grips,
    i use dish washing liquid and a tooth brush,
    they come up very good.
    Also I am a fan of VZ, all my 1911's wear them.

    Dawn and a toothbrush works like a charm. Just make sure to use your wife's toothbrush and not yours.

    lol Of course. Thanks for the input guys, and just for the record: these gatorbacks feel PERFECT. I'm lovin them!

    You guys clean your grips with a tooth brush. Pull over at the next stop and hand over your mancards:tongueout:
