Classic Mustang rust repair

    I have come across an oppurtunity to purchase a complete 1969 Mustang fastback. The car is running, complete and the body is straight. The interior is in very good condition as well. The downside to the car is that it came from Wisconsin and the undercarriage is pretty well rusted. The floor pans, torque boxes and frame rails have to be replaced. The floor in the trunk looks good and so do the fender wells and shock towers. I know what the cost of the sheet metal is but I have no idea how much work is involved to replace these items. I was hoping that someone here has been thru this already and possibly share some ideas. Thanx in advance.

    If you don't have the talent to fix the car yourself it might be a good idea to pass on the car. Cutting out the old rusty metal and welding in new pieces is alot of work. You're talking alot of money to have a pro replace these pieces.

    Unless it's something like a Mach 1 or GT i'ld pass on it.
