I bought the Shooting Chrony Inc. Model Alpha on sale
at MidwayUSA and I am very pleased. It was cheap and
it is fold up portable and it is idiot simple. Turn it on and
shoot. FPS velocity displays for each shot in Digital window.
It does a lot more but I dont want to read the manual.

It is what I bought to test my Double Tap ammo and my
    10mm handloads.

My Chrony is the bare bones most simple unit without any computer or remote capabilities.
I just wanted to share that you CAN get
some accurate and good data for less than
    $100 bucks.

No doubt the fancy features could be nice
but then things get complicated and more
    to screw up perhaps.

I bought a CED M2 unit last year....very happy with it and its price tag. Oehler is making a special run of their model 35P, but at that price tag I'll just stick with my CED M2 and maybe get the infrared screen set and battery pack....and carrying case...what I still have money left over vs the oehler, okay some bullets and brass too.
