    What's wrong with nickel plating a Colt M1911A1?

    Though since that it's not a factory finish, I'd dock the price by at least half if not more.

    Sometimes the finish is so bad, you need to refinish it one way or another.

    They should have picked "another" - parkerizing would have been a reasonable choice, like the original finish, and would have required less polishing/metal removal.

    Nickel, on that gun, is a really, really bad choice.

    That one is way over priced but it would be nice to see someone send it to Turnbull and restore it.

    That nickel is a great way to hide a LOT of pitting. May be worth about $800
