First, let me thank you for all of the wisdom you have given me on this forum. I have been lurking and reading excellent opinions and advice over the past couple of years here, so thank you to all who have contributed. Now to my question: Anybody here have experience or knowledge of Coast Guard Reserves? I have been a Cadet/Explorer with a local SO for two years now. My 21st birthday is around the corner so I am about to get the boot :embarassed: My plan was to go reserve with my current SO or another local agency (no real interest in doing LE full time. Not the job for me, but I do enjoy getting out and doing what I can when I can), but nobody seems to be taking them right now. I have a friend of mine who is joining CG reserves with a Maritime Enforcement (ME) unit, which from what I can tell is their LE branch, which would be really interesting for me. I think it could be a good opportunity to learn a lot, put in some military service, get some great training and experience, and get some pay to boot. Any thoughts? Thanks again, and stay safe!
