I'm sorry capnjim, but is there a difference between hassle and routine for ANYTHING the government does?

I hope your wait is short and you get it soon.

  3. you could be right. My wife works for Randolph County and I'm never surprised at what they come up with. I know they have 90 days to process you application and I wondered if they take the whole 90? I'm going to assume they do I had to set my appointment to fill out the paper work 8 weeks ago so they are either swamped or take their time.

There is no 90 day limit to process your application. In 90 days, if they have not issued your permit, they must give you an update as to where it stands. That is their only legal obligation. To tell you what is going on.

  5. your right the booklet says 90 days if all background checks and related investigations are complete. Gives them a little wiggle room if then need it.
