I caught this nice 28" 7 1/2lb walleye last Sunday while fishing a northern MN lake. It's the biggest Walleye I've ever caught so it's going on my wall.:)

I don't know how to post more than one picture at a time so I'll do it this way.

  3. Nice fish. What lake where you fishing? I have lots of friends in MN., but most of them don't fish. Can you believe that? Anyway, I am ready to go next spring if you need some company. I spent 5 days at Blackduck Lake last year and had lots of luck, but none that big.

It was on Lake Vermillion. I'm not a great fisherman, just lucky enough to catch a big one. I fished the lake for 3 days and only caught 3 fish, one just happened to be a monster. If you have the money I would suggest going on a fly in fishing trip to Canada. I've been on one trip and we slayed the walleyes and caught some huge pike. I caught a 40 incher and another guy caught one 41 inches. Some co-workers just took a fly-in trip to Canada and they caught around 150 walleyes and the biggest pike was 44" 25lbs!;P

Nice fish. What method did you use to catch it?

I was using a crawler harness with a spinner on it, drifting in 20ft of water.

great fish. when i was younger the walleye fishing in lake erie was awesome. since the zebra muscles filtered all the water it's gone downhill.

Nice fish. I'm jealous. It's been so hot this summer that the water temp is in the upper 80's here in KY.
