This is Bilbo, a four-year-old male who I adopted from local Humane Society shelter:

As you can see, he's movin' right in...

    Post Script

In answer to the earlier question about black cats that was raised by my posting this picture:

FWIW, I asked the Adoption Counselor at the shelter, and apparently it's true: A lot of people are reluctant to adopt black cats, at least around here.

Bilbo was in 'jail' for at least two months, and when I heard that, the 'choice' to adopt him was even easier.

    FYI :cat:

From what I have heard, some shelters are reluctant to let people adopt black cats prior to Halloween. They are concerned that some people just want a black cat for a prop or to add to their Halloween decorations. Then after Halloween, the cat may be back on the street.

That makes a kind of twisted sense. Some people treat their own 'pets' like furniture year-round, so I can see others taking it to the next 'level' (or beyond; I've heard a lot of horror stories about people torturing and killing cats).

In the case of black cats, apparently some people actually believe they are 'bad luck' or 'satanic' and for that reason won't adopt them. (WTF?)

I guess it takes all kinds... :whistling: (not @ you, Phantom465)

Hard to take pictures of a black cat on a black chair, but here's mine. Lucy on the left with her sister Coops. Taking up office space.

    Same.

For that matter, probably half the cat gifs are, too. Many aren't funny at all.

Sometimes, my wife and I think our black one IS Satan. She manages to get into all sorts of stuff we would not expect her to find amusing.....:headscratch:

I watched the entire thing. There were many times when I expected the cat to bolt, but it stayed. Either it was drugged or it was very tolerant.

As slow as the sloth is, I think the cat could have gotten away if it wanted to.
