Carpal tunnel is no better, but you'll heal.

Did you left hand/wrist recover well? I have heard too many horror stories about the surgury, and some of the people that had it are quick to tell others not to do it.

My doctor told me to drink alot of green tea(4 cups/day), and to avoid processed and gmo foods as they cause inflamation, and inflamation causes carpel tunnel.

I swear the green tea helps enough to notice, but my wrist was never bad enough to even consider getting cut. These days it is far better that is was 5 years ago though. Maybe you should ask your doc about green tea, or maybe the benifit is all in my head, I dont know.

I wish you a speedy recovery.

I was able to avoid surgery with a brace and some ergonomics. But I caught it early and did something about it. The wife had to have surgery and it went well. She hasn't had any real flare ups but, when she is doing something that causes a lot of wrist pressure she wears a brace. Like decorating Cakes.

I had CT in both my hands and had surgeries a month apart in 2004. It's really amazing the difference I felt after the recovery. Each one took about 15 minutes and since I didn't need a relaxant before the surgery, I was able to drive home by myself.

During the recovery where I had the plaster to protect the incision, my surgeon had me overdo the application of cocoa-butter to keep it soft. The dead skin rolled off, and so far, I'm happy with the job done.

If anyone is in the Eastern NC area, I'm happy to share my surgeon's info with you.

I had Carpel Tunnel in both hands. My left hand one operation , right hand two operations. Happy to say I'm 100% now. My pain got so bad each time i was praying to God. Imagine your hand Boiling in oil and feeling like a knife was stuck in it and completely numb all at the same time. CP is a *****. I reccomend to anyone that wakes up early in the morning with numb fingers to buy a Cock Up Splint to wear. and wear it. Before you need and operation. And if you do need an operation go to a hand specialist not an orthopedic.

Dilaudid is a favorite among my wife's patients, they ask for it by name :faint:

Speedy recovery so you can get back to work before the snow hits.

If you think you might have Carpal Tunnel, it is worth it to read "It's not Carpal Tunnel" by Suparna Damany. From my understanding, tons of people are wrongly diagnosed with this. I was one of them. I went to see her personally and read her book.
