They are relatively new in HOuston area like a year now. Their charbroiled angus beef is really good. I d say much better than the usual McDonald, Burger King, etc.

we have Hardee's here (same thing), and the burgers are great! it's just everything else that spoils the experience - price, soggy fries, watered-down drinks, slooooow service, etc.

How dare you eat at a chain restaurant! They are awful and only 10% of GT eats at them!

When I don't bring my own lunch, I usually go to Hardee's for a burger. One of their sammich/drink/fry deals is still around $5 and is a good deal.

There was a good article I read last week how Wendy's upped their quality game to compete with Carls and others and surpassed BK as the #2 burger joint in the US.

The wendys burger still has a tasteless unseasoned patty on a bun that tastes like warm cotton. No flavor at all. Its crap, plain and simple. Wont waste my money there anymore, I would rather eat McDs, at least the price reflects the poor food.

I m done with any of these places for quick burger treats, ie , McDo, Wendy's, Whataburger (sucks), BurgerKIng .
Chick Fil A is okey and now Carl's. Cheddar's also has a good deal on burgers .

Agreed, I used to LOVE Wendy's. Now I never go there if I have a choice, unless it's for something other than a burger :crying:

They opened one couple miles from work. Few guys went, waited over hour for food, not really what I would call fast food. I have yet to try them out because I will not wait an hour for a burger.

Of the rare times that I indulge myself with a fast food burger,
I prefer Carl's Jr. I find their burgers and service excellent. I've
never had a bad experience there.

When the Texans on the board come along and read your Whataburger comment, I hope you have your asbestos underwear handy...

Never tried Carl's Jr., but I did go to Jack in the Box the other day (another chain I associate with California) and I was not impressed. Went to Red Robin yesterday - not exactly fast food, but very impressed.
