Can Weatherby Vanguard triggers be adjusted?

I have a Vanguard that will shoot sub 1/2" groups, but the trigger is a nightmare...the worst trigger I have encountered in years. The rifle is a keeper becasue it shoots so well, so I need to do something with the trigger.

Is there a way to make adjuctments on the factory trigger to make it better? Or do I need to go with a Timney?

Thank you in advance for your comments.

According to what I've read, there should be a "front adjustment screw" visable after removing the action (unloaded of course) from the stock. Loosen the locking nut and turn the screw counterclockwise to lighten and retighten nut. Reassemble rifle and test. It's claimed pull can be reduced to around 3 pounds without any other work. No mention is made of ajustability for creep and overtravel, however, and if you want that capability the Timney will let you adjust everything. Good luck
