...Just answer a ****ing question without deflecting the topic to something else? MAN, he is horrible. Sorry, but you all are nuts for rooting for him only because he is the lesser of two evils... WHY DOESN"T HE JUST ANSWER A QUESTION...

He is horrible. Maybe not as a person, but as a candidate.

He may single-handedly obsolete the saying "it's the economy, stupid." Odds are he will lose to Obama in the midst of a very prolonged depressed economic climate. It takes a special level of horrible to achieve that.

I just wish the man (Romney) would not be so wishy-washy; it pains him to answer a question. For example, when asked about his signing of the AWB bill in Mass.., He couldn't even do that. I'm not getting into a pissing match between you all and Obama since it's clear where we all stand, I just don't understand why the GOP would pick such a nimrod as their Presidential nominee...God help us if he wins the election...

The primary voters were told that he's "electable," and the only one who could beat Obama.

Primary voters, by definition, are partisans, and partisans have a bad habit of not questioning such things. I don't remember hearing a single justification for those claims. He's electable simply because "we said so".

Because as usual the GOP has a cranial rectal inversion.

Hopefully by the second week of November it'll be crystal clear why that question should never be the basis for a Presidential run.

All candidates campaigns say their candidate is "electable" that is how its done. How many Ron Paul supporters were told HE was electable:upeyes:?

I seem to remember there being a lot of lead changing and jockeying around before and during the Republican primary. I was actually impressed by the number of candidates that I considered "viable".

As far as I can see, Romney is the "presumptive nominee" because he got the most votes, or did I miss something

I thought the thread title was the topic. Was prepared to shout "hear, hear!"

You're right though. One of the many things that irks me about the guy is that he always has a story behind every bad move he's ever done. He never just says "Hey I screwed up, sorry. I've learned from past mistakes." No....he's always got a story or long-winded excuse for all his flip flops and that list is a mile long. The guy simply can't take responsibility for his past as a politician. I won't vote for him but I'd at least respect him a bit more if he'd start being honest about his past instead of treating me like I'm stupid and will fall for whatever crap he makes up to justify his past.
