As an officer in the army, I carry one often on and off duty. On duty I carry a mule and off duty a black hawg. These configs allow me to carry my water and extra gear I need. Like extra sofft 1.5 W tourniquets, pokey bait, iPhone, wallet, etc. the hawg is used when I ride my atv and go on leave to carry a four days worth of clothes. It also leaves enough extra room for my glock. The durability of camelback is unmatched in war fighting carry/patrol bags.

I also carry a mule for long bike rides. Don't know what I would do without it

In the USMC we spelled it Pogy Bait or sometimes Pogey Bait.
