Looking to buy larger quantities of targets now that I am shooting more. I am making some since I have a fairly decent supply of large paper laying around but likely once that runs out and I would have to buy paper and factoring in time to make it would be more efficient to buy targets. I am looking for some like the IDPA type of other about 20 x 30 or so in size. Where do you all get them from? It seems that shipping kills more deals on here even up to a quantity of 200.

    Thanks

    Rich

Buy tan masking tape. Shoot a bunch at the range, take the target down, tape over the holes, fire away. You can get away with using one target for 2-3 trips before it's toast.

If you have a public range in the area that sells targets for the range, you might be able to cut a deal to buy from them in quantity, as doing so would eliminate the shipping charges. I do this with local ranges and gun stores on bulk ammo purchases as well.

They make a much smaller profit per box/target then they would otherwise, but they still get a sale.

These may not be the type of targets you want but Targetz.com has free downloadable targets.

With the cost of printer ink, not sure if they are cheaper or not. Not long ago my ink was running low so I just printed a lot of targets till the ink ran out.

I buy mine in bulk at Range-systems.com. I buy them in groups of 100, and it comes out to .22/target or so, compared to the $1 or so my range charges. Just so I dont piss them off, I usually buy one or two of theirs every second or third trip since officially I am supposed to only be using their targets. Range Systems has a huge variety of targets in different sizes. I usually get the B-27 silhouette targets with red bulls eye for us older folk...

Just looked there, could you post a link to the ones you are talking about. Full size B-27 cheapest they have is .49 before shipping, perhaps I am just not looking in the correct place however. Thank you

Yep, I am looking for ones much larger than I can print with my little 30 buck printer here.

Try Midway, sure they whack you on a minimum order, sometimes shipping is high, but good service.

I paste the small Avery Color coding labels 1 1/4" x 2 3/4" stickers on my targets and I can use any left over in the trash can or I buy one 30 cent target at the range. Most of the time I'm shooting at the 7 or 10 yard line

Gun shows around me sell them. Usually about 40cent each for 100 pack. I usually just tape over my hits, use shoot and see dots. They are cheap and gives me spots to aim at.

You could also buy a 1,000' x 15" roll of white butcher paper for about $45 and cut it for as many as 400 targets or more, depending on size. Draw or paste target dots on it and you're good for little money.

    I've used letargets.com

Best prices and great selection. Good combo!

    Here's one...http://www.letargets.com/estylez_item.aspx?item=TFTT-01

Prices get cheaper with quantity of course. I mix and matched for 100 or so total, and they were around 0.37 each. If you were to get a hundred of each, the one color ones go under thirty cents.

When I was shooting a lot, I bought a box of IDPA cardboard target and some rolls of the pasties.

What a target got too shot up or pastied up I would tape it over with the brown paper floor covering you can find at Home Depot. It is inexpensive.

If I were going to a indoor range where you hang the target from the top clip I would use the floor covering paper with some pasties on it or even a paper plate.
