Im torn between which model to buy. P30 or USP compact. I have always shot 9mm as i have a G17 and G19 in the stable not sure i want to move up in caliber quite yet --can you guys put your 2 cent in so i have more to think about?

You will love your HK. Question though, what are you going to use this for? CCW?

I have a few USP's that I bought last year. I love them but they are kinda bulky for CCW. I think you will find more USP fans vs P30 out there. If you are indeed going the CCW route, some of the guys may recommend other models though.

Good luck with the hunt and have fun!

As of now my house gun is my G17( tatical- lazer ect...) and my CCW is the G19. I love taking both to the range so no matter what gun i get it will see alot of range time. I tend to want to buy something in a compact size similar to my G19 hence looking at USP compact anf the P-30. Then the next purchase would be between a G26 or a P2000sk but thats down the road

Might I suggest the P2000 then? Especially if you plan on possibly a P2000SK in the future. P30 is closer to G17 in size.

Carry a USP Compact and don't have any problem with concealing it. I think the P30 is a little bit larger than the compacts, so if you plan on using it for CCW, then stick with the USPc. Range or HD, the P30 feels nice and has a standard rail that fits most/all weaponlights.

  7. My vote is for the P30. I have both and the P30 is a lot less blocky. I actually carry it much easier than the USP Compact.....although both are easy to conceal. Just a personal preference.
