If you don't pinch it shut before you detatch , (-BUSTED-)
    bleed kinda bad.

Any-hoo , I get all the way to my chair ,a little weak in the knees but not tooo bad ! 100 rnds. of of 9mm.

Dango, uhm, know you've had it bad for awhile, but shootin houses isn't in fashion anymore, ceptin you do a drive by in a big city.

I know how horrible it is when you need to spend a long time healing. Get well soon, keep your sense of humor.

Don't worry, Dango. I haven't been attacked by a house in decades.

Don't push the envelope until it tears, but keep pushing.

Well , today is the big day! Officially out of bed and moblie after 1 year and 10! days.Got a visit to two doctors today.

Back and ready as ever! I'm feeling ready and really good about this. That 12 year old is free! I can take a joke as well as anybody out there. The things I write about are not drug induced nor alcohol induced, This is the real me.

I'm going shooting today and going to see just what I still have left. These doctors way under estimate me cause I'm doing way better than they can imagine!

I am free from my shackles ! I had many questions for my doctors and of-course,the same old answers. Can I ski ? Can I shoot and this shaking problem , will this quit, the shaking I mean? My Katana,is it possible to continue this ?

He tried in vain to explain to me how sensitive these surgeries were and that everything, skiing and my (-Katana-) are not worth the risk!

I thought about it a while and asked him if I was not taking the same risk bathing , driving , carring wood , I do have three fire places and just walking to my truck on snow and ice ?

He looked at me and said , you are a 60 year old man and when does it sink in ? Where does one draw the line ?

I told him to look me in the eye , what do I feel , right now , what do I feel? He said he can't know that , only I could! He said before I do anything other than shooting , don't do a thing until I get an evaluation from a shrink.

Well , I got another doctor on the list so's I guess I'll stick a cucumber down my pants and go she her next Friday ! I told him him I don't get it , what that will prove but , OK , I'll see her.
Parting words: I am a 60 year old man and am still here ain't I
? What does that tell you? I hope she's hot !!!!

Save ya some time. Everybody's crazy! Only a few of us get caught.

If I had a chance to ask my doc questions, I'd include why is it I have to call if I have a woody more than 4 hours, and see what she says! (before you ask, yes she's hawt, and doesn't think I'm funny).

Glad you're better, now stay that way!

Ain't sure about this one but , anyone been on heavy narcotics
for a while and quit? Did you get the shakes ? If so , how long did they last ?

I guess I wasn't as ready as I thought , never saw this one coming......?

Well one thing I did learn today is that I still have a ways to go.
Upper body needs a lot of work. That sword was 300 lbs.more than I remember. I'm gonna have to slow it down quite a bit and add a little weight to the tip , slow and easy.

Don't look like I'll be doing any skiing this year, but have some great ideas cooking for next year. I don't do the resort thing,
mainly off the beaten trail. This kind of skiing is slightly different than down hill or cross country. You've got the steel edges for carving ice and snow and snap-on climbing skins for flat and vertical. Somebody out there might be familliar with them ?

The name of them is The Mountain Edge made by a company out of Colorado named Truckers. That's the proof in the pudding , some nut case company made them , I only bought them so there-fore , I'm not the only nut case........
God willing , I will work this all out . It's only a matter of time ..!
Thanks to all of you out there , I'm stoked.....

Narcotic withdrawal can definitely cause shakes and other unpleasant symptoms. You can try to space the med further and further apart, quit cold turkey, or ask your doc for some help. There are a lot of ways to deal with this. Also, long term narc use will decrease your own body's production of pain relieving chemicals. You are still healing, just in a different way now. Pain has been undertreated in healthcare for a long time, now they're trying to fix that.

Respect your limits and comfort level. It will take some time, but will be much faster than if you push it too much and reinjure yourself. Wishing you speediest possible recovery. Paul RN
