  1. i was wondering is there any real advantage in self defense situations useing bullets like Barns copper or Ranger Talons over other high quality bullets like Gold Dots.

    The Barnes type bullet has an attractive balance of attributes. The Ranger-T in .45, for example, will expand a bit more than the Gold Dot in the same caliber. That said, though, I think they'll all get you through the night.
