Budget Tumbler Tools

    5 lb. tumbler and media - Harbor Freight

    plastic bucket - garage

    plastic colander - kitchen (wife wasn't home!):embarassed:

    - One gallon screw top plastic jug (Free)
    - Water (Close enough to free)
    - Dawn Power Clean soap ($3 enough to clean 10k+ cases)
    - Vinegar ($3 enough to clean 10k+ cases)
    - Beach towel (steal from the bathroom)

    I have a Lyman now and all the media but honestly I would not have to buy it. The above soapy water solution does a very good job.

    got one better.

    use the same set up but rig the colander so it fits in the tumbler.

    dumped the tumbler full of brass and media into the bucket, put the colander in the tumbler and dump the bucket in the colander, let the tumbler run a few minutes so the media vibrates out and falls back into the tumbler.
