Keep us posted when after you've tested it out. I might want one for myself.

That's one good way to screw up the great looks of the HP. :ack:

That said, if it works well and you have a use for it, it sounds like a good idea. I'll be curious to see how it works.

If I wanted a rail and a light, I'd get a Glock, not a Hi Power and, if I put a rail on a gun, it wouldn't be magnetic. What a terrible idea.

I'm used to pistols with light rails. However, this pistol was a heirloom from my dad so I have to keep this and sell my P226.

This will also be an HD pistol so a light would be needed IMHO

The mount would need some minor modifications for it to fit properly though

Actually doesn't look that bad, especially if it isn't a permanent modification.

That was from 4 years ago, but I'd say have the light attached to the gun isn't important enough to bother with something as sketchy as a "magnetic" light rail. It's not a hard argument that a handheld light is more useful than a weapon-mounted light, unless you have to have one hand free or it's a 2-handed gun. On a handgun for home defense, a light in one hand and a gun in the other is generally the best option.

Regardless, it seems like a weird mod to me. There are so many pistols with rails.
