Shot some Brown Bear for the first time yesterday. It really does smell. The gun still smells even after cleaning. But it worked except for one round that required a double strike (which is really odd, I had the same thing happen with Wolf).

Wolf doesn't seem to have the same smell so I think I'll be sticking with it. Nothing beats the deal on Federal at Wal-mart though. The one time a year you can find it.

The Glock eats anything and everything.

What you say is true. The Brown Bear is smoky and smelly, but shoots well. Wolf seems fairly clean and I prefer it to Brown Bear. The Silver Bear, however, seems much cleaner than the Brown Bear. If you can get some try that as well.
