Brought home a blue box

    Adopted an orphan Colt today,........#8 out of 10 made.
    Was a Special run from Colt's Custom Shot spec'ed by a member on 1911 Enthusiast
    It is a sweet pistol, think of it being a MEU build of sorts. It will soon get a short,
    black Harrison trigger. Love the old school feel with a nicely fitted GS, gold bead
    front sight kicks butt!

    Seriously, one of these 1911 companies should hire me for marketing. If Colt only understood that if they released this configuration, they'd have guys standing out the door a mile long. Including me.



    Got quite the collection now eh FAA??

    Pictures do not do it justice,........GS is fit better than any Colt I've ever seen.

    Suggest you cericote or paint the existing trigger.

    Long triggers are much easier to control. And, the bow is already fitted to the gun. If it's aluminum, get some of that AR Black Pen stuff by Birchwood Casey.

    If you don't need to fit a new trigger bow for some practical reason, leave well enough alone.

    Thanks for the suggestion, but,.........
    I think I know what trigger works best for me. CeraKote or paint is a very
    poor choice on a trigger shoe. I'll stick with the Ionbond Harrison triggers.

    Pay no attention to fnfal. When Scooter runs out of Perpetration H he can get really opinionated.

    The correct caliber for the 1911 is 45 ACP and alway will be.

    Oh yeah! Even a dope up Lance Armstrong can't out run a 45.

    BTW, I haven't the heart to tell you I bought three Colt 1911's at the end of 2012. all Commanders and two of them are in 38 Super. They all could use a trigger job:embarassed:
