Anyone use brightsights.com paint for glock front sight? Do not feel like waiting 4 weeks for Trijicon HD sights to ship. Primarily interested in daylight sight acquisition.

Have you considered the Hackathorn front sight from AmeriGlo (comes standard with AmeriGlo I-Dot Pro night sights)? It's remarkably similar to the Trijicon HD front sight which came out later.

The orange outline on the Hack front sight really stands out in daylight. The bright front sight and wide notch on the rear sight make for very fast target acquisition in normal indoor and outdoor light. The orange color on the front sight is painted on, but it's claimed to be very durable. Even so, I avoid exposing it to harsh cleaning solvents to be on the safe side.

AmeriGlo offers a 10% discount using Promo Code: GLOCKTALK

I tried the fiber optics and they tend to loosen with the abuse I dish out. Will have to look at the hackathorns for sure.

That Bright Sights Paint is Rubbish..
You'll be much better of using Testors Paint for models..
I have a kit of that Bright Sight Paint & need to throw it in the trash.. Worthless..

Just curious, what were the issues? Adhesion, durability etc?

Not real warm and fuzzy right now with Ameriglo. I ordered a set of sights from them over a month ago. I finally called a couple days ago to ask what is up. I got... "We are sorry, those are on backorder and it may be 2 more months before we get them back from Trijicon". That is okay, sure would have like an e-mail or something. And they charged my CC $12 more for the sights than listed on their web site. That was AFTER the Glocktalk promo code. Great products, everything else is suspect so far on this transaction. :dunno:

I bought some of that paint and used it on a Springfield 1911 that had the white dots and they were faded badly. It didn't show up well at the range and I eventually used Krylon over that stuff and it was light years better. Just my $.02.

I have a kit of that stuff & it's not durable, and doesn't apply good like the testors does plus cost more too..
