I'm in need of a BCG.

Like the title says: do you know anywhere that's very reasonable? I don't need the latest, greatest whiz-bang engraving done on the thing; I just need something functional.

    Thanks in advance. :wavey:

They have some inn-stock for $99. They have a spotty reputation, but they're cheap

I bought a CMT FA BCG last night from them, heard pretty good things about CMT, and the price was right at $115.

The BCG is the HEART of the rifle,......why cheap out over $20 or $30. :dunno:

You don't have to be rude about it. That's about the cheapest that kind of quality comes in.

There is a reason those are so cheap.

I'd heard they were $159, but could not find it cheaper than $169.

BC is one of the best and the bolt carrier id the heart of the gun, going cheap here is the last thing you should do.

I have a "bubba" gun that is a mish-mash of so-so to excellent parts. Less than $600, includes the BC carrier.

Runs as well as my colt SP1.

No rudeness there. I said "thanks" but then reiterated that I wanted "CHEAP".

I appreciate the help. I am sure everyone has a different definition of "cheap". :wavey:

That Core15 seems to have all the same requirement specs of higher priced BCGs...

While I understand the BCG being the heart of the rifle, I just don't see how one can be leaps and bounds better than another. I've shot probably 50 different ARs/M16s and don't ever recall a problem due to a BCG. I'm pretty sure none of those ever had a Bravo Company BCG in it.

I have a BCM bcg that functions Just like my CMT bcg.

It's my understanding that Tool Craft makes BCG's for all the large manufacturers so I don't get all the posts that preach BCM. BCM Palghetto, LMT, et al are all probably rolling off the same assembly line.

    Yep.

This is why I use PSA BCGs now. When I found out they are made by the same folks bringing us the BCM bolts I bought a couple.

I get what you are saying but if you can afford it buy a quality BCG. You don't need the moon dust coated 269 dollar ones but a BCM, LMT or Daniel Defense BCG would be a good decision.
