I've been considering buying a G26 or 27 for better summer concealment but have discovered Cold Bore Customs. Has anyone used them? Now I'm wondering if bobtailing my G19 and G23 would accomplish the same without affecting accuracy or shootability. Will appreciate your thoughts. Thanks!

Lots and lots of people here recommend Cold Bore Customs. A quick search or even going back a couple pages will show you all the great work they do. Plus the guy is a member here i think

    my only question is why?
are you assuming the 26 isn't accurate?

The baby glock is the only gun that i CC.
    i highly recommend it!

I have no question about the 26. Will bobbing change the balance or affect negatively the 19 or 23?

My G26 or G27 are very accurate pistols...

That said, my G19/G26 *carries* MUCH nicer! Very nice balance due to the shift in weight...

The short mags weigh less, so the pistol doesn't move around as much.

I would carry the G19/G26 more, but in my "wisdom" I polished the flats of the slide, and now my sweat stains the finish... so it's got to go out for some sort of coating.

So I say YES - Bob it if you want to... provided you can shoot well with the chopped grip.

    Hope that helps...

I bobbed/cut my grip down on my G22 to the size of a G27 so it will not print at all and it will take G27 mags flush . It is awesome shooting it with it's long sight range and short grip. What is better is carrying it . I like the short grip and long sight range . Here it is ......
