So, I was reading Bama's contest thread and I thought I would encourage people to show their best plate times. I know some of the masters like GLW, Butch, Bama, GlockinRandall and Bryan D. probably have some incredible times.

Don't be bashful, everyone please share and don't forget to enter Bama's contest for the free holster! (Masters Exempt)

Here is my personal best string 2.38 as well as my best total time 10.83, both from Indy this year.

No score sheets to show, i think my best is a 10.3 in UL and 11.xx with stock gun. best single string is an official 1.93, but i'll admit the timer was off. Danny, MikeG35, and Letal seen me shoot it and Mike lost an arm and leg betting aginst me when I did it. Dr. Rod got a video of it and it's pretty easy to tell I'm a lot slower than the 1.93 that got recorded.

'Im waiting for someone to chime in with an UNL score in the 8's. I think I saw a thread last year where Danny had compiled a bunch of stats and fastest plate run was in the high 8's but i could be wrong.

S.Kargoh, It would be hard for me to duplicate the run from Indy, I always shoot my best there, the bay where the plate rack and Glock'M are are under a canopy. My eyes seem to prefer that lighting the best.

I'm fortunate, i have a rack to practice on, I like to practice at 40' - 45'. When you get to a match it feels like you are on top of the plates.

Strangely, I'm not a great plates shooter, but I do tend to be fairly consistent though.....the good plate matches normally hover right around 12 seconds. I'm not sure what my fastest single string time is, but it's right near yours, something just under 2.5 seconds.

My best/favorite plate 'performance' was at Grand Island in 2010. I didn't have a single miss through all three matches....12 strings in a row of 6 shots/6 hits. :)

My new personal best score was just day before yesterday at Hallsville....a 43.93 :) and as you can see, my plate times were nothing special. Fun part is that it was in the UL match (where it's least likely to win), and shot with the same old stock Gen1 G17 I've been shooting since May of 1986.

    See ya at Conyers!

Yeah, I was quite shaky. Shot to slide lock on that one 10.xx string. But didn't leave any standing, thankfully.

There is a video yobohadi shot.

How 'bout trying one handed in......................................... Bullseye? :)

But yeah, I'd like to see how you transfer those Bullseye skills to a one-handed plate rack at GSSF.

Speaking of that, I saw the Bullseye MD today and he asked when I'm coming back to shoot. I've got to admit, the IDPA practice that happens at the same time is a little more exciting to me. And I get to shoot one-handed occasionally. :embarassed:

That is nuts. Is that the fastest ever in GSSF?

My best single run is a 2.5x with a best time for the stage being 14.x. Too bad I've only dipped into the 2's that lone time :(

I've been trying to break 8 for a couple years now. Thought I had it at Bremerton. 2.05, 1.88, 1.95, then I had an extra shot on the last string for a 2.18. AHHHHHHH. Oh well, maybe in Vegas.

I was actually more happy with my .45 runs. 10.75 in Heavy Metal and 11.91 in Major Sub. Might have to see if I can get it down under 10 with the HM gun. I'm still shooting factory 230 Grain Winchester with the Gen 4 21 because my match ammo won't work it. A bit more break in and see how it goes with ammo not making 195 PF.

I think my personal best is a 4.04 for a run. Don't recall my best time for a stage. I really enjoy shooting the plates, working on a practice setup so I can improve as much as possible.
